distance=speed×time

15min =15×(1/60)=0.25hr

Distance covered in first 15 min

=60×0.25

=15 km

Distance covered in second 15 min

=80×0.25

=20 km

Total distance=15 km + 20 km =35 km.

(D) 35 km.

  • from the given data,15min=1/4hr. 2.We know that ,, Distance=Speed×time =1/4×60=15km. 3.for the 2nd half, distance travelled=80×1/4=20km...Total Distance travelled=15+20=35kms. Hence , Option(D)35kms is the correct answer.
