Answer:

Explanation:

Correct Question :-

A car moves for half of its time at 80 km/h and for rest half of time at 40 km/h total distance covered is 60 km what is the average speed of the car ?

Answer :-

Given :-

Car moves half of its time 80 km/h and rest time at 40 km/h.

Total distance covered = 60 km

Formula to be used :-

Average speed = Total distance covered/Total time taken

Solution :-

Let the time taken be t hours.

And distance as D1 and D2

⇒ 80 × t/2 = d1

⇒  40t = D1

Rest distance,

⇒ 40 × t /2 = D2

⇒  20t = D2

Average speed = (40t + 20t)/t

Average speed = 60t/t

Average speed = 60 km/h

Hence, the average speed of car is 60 km/h.

The average speed of car is 60 km / hrs.

Let the time taken be 't' hours.

=> average speed= total distance covered/total time taken

distance covered with 80km/h speed.

 =  > d1  =  \frac{80 \times t}{2}

 =  > d1 = 40t

Distance covered with 40 km/h speed

 =  > d2 =  \frac{40 \times t}{2}

 =  >  d2 = 20t

=> Average speed of car= (40t+ 20t)/t

So, The average speed is 60

km/h
