a=4m/s^2

t=30s

v=u+at

v=4 x 30

v=120 m/s

now lets consider this as u for the next case

u=120m/s

v=0

t=60s

v=u+at

0=120+60a

-120=60a

a=-2

the retardation is of 2m/s^2
