A car moves through 20 km at a speed of 40 km/h, and the next 20 km at a speed of 60

km/h. calculate its average speed.

here is your answer

speed for 20km=40km/h

time taken=d/s=20/40=1/2hr=30min


speed for next 20km=60km /hr

time taken=20/60=1/3=20min



average speed=total speed/total time
=40+60/20+30=100/50
=2km/min
