Answer:

21.66 km

Explanation:

Distance covered in first 10 min. = 40 x (10/60) km. = 20/3 km.

Distance covered in second 15 min. = 60 x (15/60) km. = 15 km.

Total distance = (20/3) + 15 = 65/3 = 21.66 km.

Answer:

11.66 km

Explanation:

FIRST 10 KMs

40 km per hour

speed of 1 min

40/60=0.66

TOTAL DISTANCE IN FIRST 10 MINs

0.66*10=6.66

2nd 10 KMs

30 km per hour

speed of 1 min

30/60=0.5

TOTAL DISTANCE IN 2nd.10 MINs

0.5*10=5

TOTAL DISTANCE COVERED BY THE CAR

first 10 min.s distance +2nd.10 min.s distance

= 6.66+5

= 11.66 ans.
