A car moves with a speed of 40 km/h for 15 minutes and then with a speed of 60 km/h for the next 15 minutes. What is the total distance covered by the car?

25 km was travelled by the car .

At first fifteen minutes the car moved 10 km and the next fifteen minutes the car moved 15 km .

So the total distance covered by the car for half an hour is 10 + 15 = 25 km.
