A car moves with a speed of 40 km/h for 15 minutes and then 10 min with a speed of 60 km/h. Find the distance covered by car.​

speed =distance /time taken

distance =speed×time taken

15mins =1/4 hour

distance 1=40×1/4

and,

10 mins =1/6 hour

distance 2=60×1/6

distance 1 + distance 2 = distance covered by car

10 km + 10 km = 20 kms

hence the distance traveled by car is 20 kms
