A car moves with a speed of 40 km/h for 15 minutes and then with a speed of 60 km/h for the next 15 minutes . Find the total distance covered by the car in these 30 minutes

so the distance he covers is

40:60::x:15

(40*15)/60 =x

x=10 km

on solving we get it travels 10 km in 15 min

now it travels with a speed of 60 km/h

60:60::x:15

(60*15)/60 =x

x=15

so on solving we get that it travels another 15 km in 15 min

so therefore the total distance it travels in 30 min is

15 + 10 =25 km
