1st case:

here given,the speed of the car= 40km/hr=100m/9s with time taken = 15 minutes= 900s

now distance= speed*time

=100/9*900s=10000m=10 km

2nd case:

similarly here distance=50/3*900s=15000m=15 km

hence total distance travelled by car is (15+10)=25km
