-Car's speed = 40 km/h

Time = 15 mins. = 0.25 hrs.

Distance = Speed × Time = (40 × 0.25) km = 10 km.

-Car's speed = 60 km/h.

Time = 15 mins. = 0.25 hrs.

Distance = Speed × Time = (60 × 0.25) km = 15 km.

So, Total distance travelled = (10+15) km = 25 km.

Answer:

distance = speed × time

distance 1 = 40× 15 /60 = 40/4

distance 2= 60× 15/60 = 15 km

total distance = 10 +15= 25 km .

hence, 25km is the total distance .
