Explanation:

speed of the car in first 10 min is 50km/hr.

1 hour = 60 min

1 min = 1/60 hour

10 min = 10/60 hour

speed= distance /time

distance = speed × time

= 50×10/60

=50/6 km

speed of the car in next 20 min is 60 km/hr.

similarly, 20 min = 20/60 hour.

distance= 60× 20/60

= 20 km

Distance covered in 30 min = Total distance

50/6 + 20

28.34 km

Explanation:

as v1=50km per hour=150×1000/3600m per sec

v1=41.66m per sec

t1=10 min= 10×60=600sec

then d1= v1×t1

d1 =41.666×600

d1=25000m

d1= 25km

now v2= 60km per hour

= 60× 1000/3600 m per sec

v2=16.666m per sec

t2=20min

t2=20×60sec =1200sec

d2=v2×t2

d2=16.666×1200

d2=20000m

d2=20km

total distance in 30 min= d1 + d2

=25km+20km

= 45km
