A car moves with a speed of 60 km/h for 10 minutes and then with a speed of 120 km/h for the next 10 minutes. What is the total distance covered?

For 1st case

v(speed) = 60km/h

Time = 10 min

= 10/60 hr

= 1/6 hr

s (distance) = v × t

= 60 × 1/6

= 10 km

For 2nd case

v(speed) = 120km/h

Time = 10 min

= 10/60 hr

= 1/6 hr

s (distance) = v × t

= 120 × 1/6

= 20 km

Therefore total distance covered = 10km+ 20km

=30km
