Answer:

u1 = 2

u2 = 10

t =5

t2= 10

Explanation:

Given that,

Velocity v = 2 m/s

Time t = 5 s

Its velocity increases uniformly to 10 m/s in 5 s.

After that, its velocity begins to decrease at a uniform rate until it comes to rest after 5 s.

According to question,

The body moves from A to B at velocity 2 m/s for 5 s.then it accelerates, from B to C for 5 sec and attains velocity 10 m/s.

Now, it comes to rest in 5 sec at a constant retardation from C to D.

Explanation:

initial velocity= 2m/s

final velocity= 10m/s

this was first case

now,

take 2nd case

initial velocity = 10m/s

final velocity =0m/s

time =5 seconds

so by 1st equation

v=u+at

0m/s = 10m/s+a × 5 seconds

a = -2m/s²

hence retardation is -2m/s²
