Car moved to B which is 17km from A.

∴ the distance towards north is represented by positive integer.

 \therefore \: AB = + 17km

Now,

Distance towards south will be represented by negative integer.

 \therefore BC = - 14km

Final position of the car = 17-14

= +3km.

'3' is the final integer representing the position of car.

Hence, the car is 3km towards north.
