QUESTION:-

a car moving along A straight highway with a speed of 40 m s -1 is brought to a stop within a distance of 200 m the time taken by the car to stop is

EXPLANATION:-

Using 2nd equation:

v²=u²+2as

0²=40²+2a(200)

0=1600+(400a)

-1600=400a

a=-4 m/s²

Now using 1st equation

v=u+at

o=20+-4t

4t=20

t=20/4

t=5 s

So opt-a is correct answer
