Initial velocity, u = 54 km/h or 15 m/s

Final velocity, v = 0 m/s ( as the car comes to stop )

Time taken, t = 5s

a)

We know,

==> v = u + at

==> 0 = 15 + 5a

==> -15 = 5a

==> a = -15/5

==> a = - 3 m/

b)

Refer to the attachment.

c)

Distance travelled = area

==> area = base × height /2

==> area = 5 × 15 / 2

==> area = 75 / 2

Distance travelled = 37.5 m
