initial velocity, u = 72 km/h
final velocity, v = 0
time taken, t = 5s
acceleration, a =?

u = 72 km/h=72 \times  \frac{5}{18}\ m/s =20\ m/s

a= \frac{v-u}{t}= \frac{0-20}{5}\ m/s^2 = \frac{-20}{5}\  m/s^2 = -4\ m/s^2

So acceleration is -4 m/s²
