A car moving at 48 km/hr completes a journey in 10 hrs. By how much speed of this car should be increased so as to do this journey in 8 hrs ?​

With speed of 48km/hr n time 10hrs

Distance covered = 48×10=480km

person wants to cover the distance in 8 hrs

using formula

speed=distance/time= 480/8= 60km/hrs

so speed of the car should be increase by 60-48=12km/hrs in order to cover distance in 8 hrs.

Distance of the entire journey =(48×10) =480km

If the time taken = 8 hours,

then increased speed =8 ÷480

km/hr=60km/hr

∴ Increased in speed =60km/hr−48km/hr=12km/hr
