A car moving at 72km/h is stopped in 5 seconds.If it retards uniformly find the distance travelled by the car before it stops.Also find its retardation.​

We use the formula S=ut+1/2at^2

S=20 x 5 -1/2 x 4 x 25

S=50meter

There is minus 1/2 because of the retardation

Retardatin= v-u/t

As we know the car has sotoped so the final velocity is 0m/s

Then

0-20/5=4m/s^2

4m/s^2 is the retardation
