A car moving on a straight path covers a distance of 1 km due east in 100 sec . What is the speed and velocity of the car?

1 km = 1000 m

Given,
Distance = 1000 m
Time       = 100 sec

∴ Speed  =  \frac{Distance}{Time}
               =  \frac{1000}{100}
               = 10 m/sec
And,
Velocity = 10 m/sec in due east
