A car moving on a straight path covers a distance of 1 km due east in 100 s. What is (i) the speed and (ii) the velocity, of car ? Ans. (1) 10 m s', (ii) 10 m s due east​

First off, since the car is moving in a straight both the speed and velocity are same.

We know the general formula,

Speed= Distance/ Time

Distance= 1km= 1000m

Time= 100sec

Speed & Velocity= 1000/100 = 10m/s due east.
