u=30m/s

v=40m/s

t=2s

a=v-u/t

a=40-30/2

a=10/2

a=5m/s²

Given

☞ Initial speed = 30 m/s

☞ Final speed = 40 m/s

☞ Time = 2 seconds.

To find

Acceleration of car

Solution

What is called acceleration?

☛ Acceleration is rate of change in speed/velocity of an object.

☛ It's given by, ☞ a = (v - u)/t

Now we have ;

☞ Initial speed (u) = 30 m/s

☞ Final speed (v) = 40 m/s

☞ Time (t) = 2 s

Now using 1st equation of motion :-

v = u + at

Substituting values,

☞ 40 = 30 + a × 2

☞ 40 - 30 = 2a

☞ 10 = 2a

☞ a = 10/2

a = 5 m/s²

Acceleration of car = 5 m/s² [Answer]
