In CGS 54 km/h
= 54×5/18 = 15m/s
Intial Velocity (U)= 15m/s , Final velocity (V)= 0m/s, t = 3seconds
Acceleration = (V - U)/t
= 0 - 15 /3
= - 15/3
Acceleration = -5 m/s²
Here , retardation is occurring because the acceleration in negative value.
