• let the certain or constant velocity by which the car moves constantly be u m/ s
from here , distance = u m
it comes to half , ie v = u/2 m/ s
when retardation or negative acceleration is 5 m/ s²
we know that,
v² - u²= 2as
( u/2)² - u² = 2a u
u²- 2u²/2 = 2au
- u² = 4au
- u² / u = 4a
- u = 4 ( - 5)
u = -4 (-5)
u = 20 m/ s
