Initial velocity = U

accelaration = - 5m/s²

Final  Velocity = U/2

t = time in which this came to half velocity

U/2 = U + at

U/2 = U -5t

U/2 = 5t

U = 10t

Initial velocity is dependent on time in which it came to half

if  it came in 1 sec at half velocity

then initial velocity = 10 m/s
