Given:
v=0m/s
u=20m/s
t=5 sec
a=?
we know :a= \frac{v-u}{t}
a=  \frac{0-20}{5}
  =  \frac{-20}{5}
a = -4m/s²

 initial velocity<u> as 20 m/s

 final velocity<v> as 0 m/s as car breaks and time<t> is 5 sec

 acceleration<a>= (v - u)/t  ,

a= (0 - 20)/5,

a= -4 m/s(sq) here ' - ' sign shows .

And displacement<s>

    ,

s= (0 - 400)/(2*< - 4>) ,

s=50 m <ans.>

Anonymous: ' - 'sign shows opposite acceleration
