Answer:

An equation commonly used - and can be proved- is v^2=u^2+2fs with usual symbols (v-final vel, u- initial vel, f- accn, s- distance)

So, 400=100+2fs i.e. fs=150. If v is the velocity midway then, v^2=100+fs. Hence, v^2=250

So, answer is v= 15.8 m/s
