. A car moving with constant acceleration
covers the distance between two points 180
m apart in 6 sec. Its speed as it passes the
second point is 45 m/s. What is its
acceleration and its speed at the first point​

Final velocity (v) = 45m/s

Distance (S) = 180m

Time (t) = 6sec

To find:-

(i) Accleration

By applying, S - ut = 1/2at^2

180 - 0×6 = 1/2×a×36

180 = 18a

a = 180/80

a = 10m/s^2

(ii) Initial velocity

By applying, v - u = at

45 - u = 10×6

45 - u = 60

u = 60 - 45

u = 15m/s.
