Given:

A car moving with uniform acceleration and changes its velocity from 10 m/s to 50 m/s in 4 seconds.

To find:

  • Acceleration
  • Displacement

Calculation:

Applying EQUATIONS OF KINEMATICS:

  \therefore \: v = u   + at

 \implies \: 50 = 10 + a(4)

 \implies \: 4a = 40

 \implies \: a = 10 \: m {s}^{ - 2}

So, acceleration is 10 m/.

 \therefore \:  {v}^{2}  =  {u}^{2}  + 2as

 \implies \:  {50}^{2}  =  {10}^{2}  + 2(10)s

 \implies \: 2500 = 100 + 20s

 \implies \: 20s = 2400

 \implies \: s = 120 \: metres

So, displacement is 120 metres.
