A car of mass 10 kg is moving round a circular path with a speed of 2 m/s, after completing half round the displacement of the car is equal to diameter of the path when a force F1 equal to the weight of the car stops it. Find DISTANCE travelled by car and the amount of work done by the Force F1. (Diameter of path is 12 m and take g=10 m/s2)

Correct option is

B

320 N

The motion of the car is:

m=1000kg,v=16m/s,

4

πr

=628 m$$

r=

π

4×628

Centripetal force =
