Given,
mass,m = 1000 kg
initial speed,u = 0 m/s
final speed, v = 100 km/hr = 27.78 m/s
time taken,t = 5 s
Now as we know,
Power, P = work done / time taken
To find work done,
W = F×s
By kinematics,
v = u + at
27.78 = a×5
a = 5.56 m/s²
And,
s = ut + at²/2
= 5.56×5²/2
= 69.45 m
So, Force = ma = 1000 × 5.56 = 5560
Work done = 5560 × 69.45
Power delivered = 5560×69.45/5
= 7728.4 Watt
= 103 hp
Hope it may help you !!!!!
