A car of mass 1000 kg is moving with a certain velocity. A constant force of 1600 N acts on it for 5 seconds and the velocity of the car becomes double of its initial value. Calculate its initial and final velocity.

f = 1600N

t = 5s

let u be the initial velocity and

v final velocity

now

according to question

v = 2u. (1)

now we know that

f = ma

1600 =1000(2u-u)/5

therefore

u = 8m/s

put the value of u in equation (1)

v = 16m/s
