Answer:-

Given:-

  • Final velocity (v) = 0 m/s
  • Initial velocity (u) = 36 km/h

[Or, v = 36 • 5/18 = 2 • 5 = 10 m/s]

  • Time (t) = 5 seconds
  • Mass of the car (m) = 1000 kg

...

We know,

F = ma

where,

F = Force,

m = Mass,

a = Acceleration.

&

a = (v-u)/t

So, we can also write:-

F = m[(v-u)]/t

or,

F = (-mu)/t

[Since v = 0]

Putting the values:-

F = [- 1000 kg × 10 m/s]/(5 s)

= - 10000 kg m/s × 1/5s

= - 2000 kg m/s²

= - 2000 N (Force provided by the wall)

So, the car provided 2000 N Force.
