F =m ×a
m=1000kg
initial velocity = 36km/h
36km \: per \: hour = 36 \times  \frac{5}{18}  = 10 \: metr \: persecond

final velocity = 0
time = 5 seconds
a =  \frac{v - u}{t}   =  \frac{0 - 10}{5}  =  - 2
F = ma
 = 1000 \times ( - 2) = \\  =  - 2000 \: newton

Given,

Initial Velocity= 36km/h=>10m/s

Final Velocity=0 =>(because it comes to rest)

Mass=1000Kg

Time=5 seconds

To find out Acceleration,

v=u+at

Substitute the Values

0=10m/s+(a)(5sec)

0=10m/s+5a

-5a=10

a=10/-5

a=-2m/s sq

Now,Calculate the force

F=ma

=1000kg×(-2m/s)

=1000kg×(-2m/s)F=(-2000N)
