By using law of conservation of momentum
m₁u₁ = (m₁ + m₂)v
v = m₁u₁ / (m₁ + m₂)
= (1000 kg × 30 m/s) / (1000 kg + 9000 kg)
= 3 m/s
Speed of vehicles after collision is 3 m/s
m₁u₁ = (m₁ + m₂)v
v = m₁u₁ / (m₁ + m₂)
= (1000 kg × 30 m/s) / (1000 kg + 9000 kg)
= 3 m/s
Speed of vehicles after collision is 3 m/s
