A car of mass 1200kg going 30m/s applies it's break and comes rest. If friction force between the Tyres and the road is 600n , how far does the car moves before coming to rest ?

Explanation:

Mass = 1200kg

Velocity = 30m/s

Force = -600N ( It is frictional force)

Now,

F = ma

-600 = 1200 × a

a = -600/1200

a = -0.5m/sec^2

Now we have got the acceleration

v = 30m/s

u = 0m/s

a = -0.5m/sec^2

v^2 = u^2 + 2as

30^2 = 2 × (-0.5)s

900 = -1s

s = 900m

Therefore, the distance after which the car will stop is 900m.

Hope it helps. . . . . . .
