According to work energy theorem
The work done on an object by a force is equals to its change in kinetic energy i.e.
W=∆K.E. =(mv^2)/2-(mu^2)/2 ....................(1)
Given
Mass of the car,m =2000kg
Initial velocity, u=2m/s
Final velocity ,v=22m/s
Now substituting all these values in (1)
Work done ,W =[1/2×2000×(22)^2]-[1/2×2000×(2)^2]
=[1000×484]-[1000×4]
=[484000]-[4000]
=[480000]J
=480kJ
Therefore the work done is 480kJ.
