mass(m)=500kg

initial velocity(u)=36km/hr

                           =10m/s

final velocity(v)=0

distance covered(s)=40m

now,

      v^2=u^2+2as

       0=(10)^2+2*a*40

       0=100+80a

       -100=80a

         a=-100/80

         a=-1.25

          retardation(a)=-(-1.25m/s^2)

                                 =1.25m/s^2

again,

         F=ma

            =500*1.25

            =625N
