A car of mass 600 kg is moving at a speed of 20 m/s. It collides with a stationary car of mass 900 kg. If the first car bounces back at 4 m/s, at what speed does the second car move after the collision?

(600kg*20m/s)+(900kg*0m/s)=[600kg*(-4m/s)]+900kg V2

12,000kgm/s + 0 = -2400kgm/s + (900kg)V2

12,000kgm/s + 2400kgm/s = 900kg V2

14,400kgm/s = 900kg V2

v2 = 14,400kgm/s / 900kg

v2 = 144m/s / 9

v2 = 16m/s
