Given:

A car pulls a toy to distance of 10m and the string makes an angle of 60 degree with the horizontal. Let force be 10

To find:

Calculate the work done by the child in pulling the toy car.(Take cos 60 degree =0.5).

Solution:

From given, we have,

Force F = 10N

Distance s = 10m

The angle between the toy car and the ground = 60degree

Work done W = Fscos θ

W = 10 × 10 cos60

W = 100 × 0.5

W = 50 J

Therefore, the work done by the child in pulling the toy car is 50 J
