Given:

Litres of petrol required by the car to travel a distance of 265 km = 25 litres

To find:

Distance that the car can travel in 58 litres of petrol.

Solution:

If the car runs 265 km in 25 litres of petrol:

Then distance run by the car in 1 litre of petrol = 265/25 = 10.6 km

Distance run by the car in 58 litres of petrol = 10.6* 58 = 614.8 km

Therefore the distance run by the car in 58 litres of petrol will be 614.8 km.
