Let distance travelled by car is x km.

initial speed of car , u = 65 km/h

time taken by car to cover distance x km = 1hours

we know, distance = speed × time

so, x km = 65km/h × 1h = 65km

hence, distance travelled by car is 65km.

a/c to question, speed is reduced by 15km/h.

so, new speed of car, 65 - 15 = 50km/h

now, time taken by car to cover 65km , t = (65km)/(50km/h)

= 13/10 h

= 1.3 h

hence, time taken by car to cover distance is 1.3 hour.
