therefore, In 11/4 L of petrol, distance covered by car = 16 × 11/4 = 44 km. In 2 whole 3/4 L of petrol, car will cover distance of 44 km

Given,

Petrol for 16 km = 1 l

So, it is direct variation

So,

1/16 = (2 3/4) / x

1/16 = 11/4x

4x =11*16

4x = 176

x = 44 km

Hence , Distance covered is 44 km
