on a wet road due to water ( a lubricant ) friction decreases .

as friction resists movement on wet road friction will be less so when a car moves friction doesn't oppose

because of the presence of water(a lubricant) in wet road ,a car skids. The friction is less on wet road and so it doesnot oppose the motion of the car.
