A car start from rest and acquire a velocity of 54 km/h in 2 sec. find (i) the acceleration (ii) distance travelled by car assume motion of car is uniform (iii) if the mass of the car is 1000 kg, what is the force acting on it?

1) Acceleration = 7.5m/s^2

2)Distance  = 15m

3)Force = 7500N

Explanation:

1) a = v-u/t

v = 54km/h = 54000m/3600s = 15m/s

u = 0

t = 2 sec

a = 15-0/2

a = 7.5m/s^2

2)2as = v^2 -u^2

a = 7.5m/s^2

v  = 15m/s

u = 0

2*7.5*s = 15*15

s = 15*15/15

s = 15m

3) F = ma

m = 1000Kg

a = 7.5m/s^2

F = 7.5*1000

F = 7500N
