A car starting from rest acquires a velocity of 54km/h in 5 seconds.

To find :-

Acceleration

Solution :-

Initial velocity (u) = 0

Final velocity (v) = 54km/h

Time taken (t) = 2s

→ Final velocity = 54km/h

→ v = 54 × 2/18

→ v = 3 × 2

→ v = 6m/s

According first equation of motion

→ v = u + at

→ 6 = 0 + a × (2)

→ 6 = 2a

→ a = 6/2

→ a = 3 m/s²

Hence,

Acceleration of car is 3m/s²
