A car starting from rest accelerate with an acceleration of 2 m/s^2. Find the distance travelled by the car in 4 minutes.​

Answer :-

Given :-

  • Initial velocity = 0
  • Acceleration = 2 m/s²
  • Time = 4 minutes = 240

To Find :-

  • Distance travelled

Solution :-

We know that,

→ s = ut + ½ at²

where,

  • s is distance
  • u is initial velocity
  • t is time
  • a is acceleration

Substituting the value in formula :-

→ s = 0 × 240 + ½ × 2 × 240 × 240

→ s = 0 + 240 × 240

→ s = 57600

→ s = 57.6 km

Distance travelled by car = 57600 m or 57.6 km
