Given :-

Initial velocity of car is 0 m/s

Final velocity of car is 20 m/s

Distance covered by car is 100m

To Find :-

Acceleration of car

Solution :-

❍ We can find the acceleration by putting the values in the third equation of motion ::

v² = u² + 2as

Where,

  • v denotes final velocity
  • u denotes initial velocity
  • a denotes acceleration
  • s denotes distance covered

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━⠀

Finding Acceleration :-

=> ( 20 )² = ( 0 )² + ( 2 × a × 100 )

=>  400 = 0 + 200a

  => 200a  = 400 - 0

=> 200a = 400

=> a = 400/200

=> a = 2m/s²

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━⠀

  • Henceforth, acceleration of car is 2m/s²
