Given :

Distance covered by car = 200m

Time taken by car = 10s

Initial velocity = zero

To Find :

Acceleration of the car.

Solution :

■ In this case, car is moving with constant acceleration.

  • We can apply equation of kinematics when body has constant acceleration.

Second equation of kinematics is given by

  • d = ut + 1/2 at²

➛ d denotes distance

➛ u denotes initial velocity

➛ a denotes acceleration

➛ t denotes time

Initial velocity (u) = zero

By substituting the given values;

➠ d = ut + 1/2 at²

➠ 200 = (0)(10) + 1/2 a (10)²

➠ 200 × 2 = 100a

➠ 100a = 400

➠ a = 400/100

a = 4 m/s²

Answer:

question:-

A car starting from rest travels with uniform acceleration.if it covers 200m in 10second calculate the acceleration of the car

Given:-

  • inital Velocity = 0
  • distance covered = 200 metre
  • time taken = 10 sec

To find :-

acceleration of the car.

Solution:-

According to second equation of kinematics-

 \purple{\to \sf \: s = ut +  \frac{1}{2} a {t}^{2} }

where

» s denotes Distance.

» u denotes inital Velocity.

» a denotes accleration.

» t denotes time.

substitute the values in the above equation of kinematics-

 \sf {\to \: 200  = 0 +  \frac{1}{2}  \times a \times ( {10})^{2} } \\  \\    \sf{\to 200 = a \times 50} \\  \\   \sf{\to \: a =  \frac{200}{50}}\\  \\   \sf \pink{\to \: a = 4m/sec}

---------------------------------------------

equations of kinematics-

1. V= u+at

2. s= ut+1/2at²

3. = +2as

where

» s denotes Distance.

» u denotes inital Velocity.

» a denotes accleration.

» t denotes time.

»v denotes final velocity.
