Answer :

➥ The acceleration of the car = 8 m/s²

Given :

➤ Intial velocity of the car (u) = 0 m/s

➤ Distance travelled by a car (s) = 100 m

➤ Time taken by a car (t) = 5 sec

To Find :

➤ Acceleration of the car (a) = ?

Solution :

In the above question given that Intial velocity is 0 becouse the car is in the rest, distance is 100 m and time taken is 5 sec. So,

From second equation of motion

\tt{:\implies s = ut +  \dfrac{1}{2}a {t}^{2} }

\tt{:\implies 100 = 0 \times 5 +  \dfrac{1}{2} \times a \times 5 \times 5 }

\tt{:\implies 100 = 0 +  \dfrac{1}{ \cancel{ \: 2 \: }} \times a \times \cancel{25}}

\tt{:\implies 100 = 0 + 1 \times a \times 12.5}

\tt{:\implies 100 = 0 + 1 \times 12.5a}

\tt{:\implies 100 = 0 + 12.5a}

\tt{:\implies 100 = 12.5a}

\tt{:\implies \cancel{\dfrac{100}{12.5}} = a }

\bf{:\implies \underline{ \:  \:  \underline{ \purple{ \:  \: a = 8 \: m/s^2 \:  \: }} \:  \: }}

Hence, the acceleration of the car is 8 m/s².
